7 Months

Last week I made some ribs. And ate the best chocolate in the world. Then had some healthy stuff.

 Shnuggle time. When caught in the right mood, he'll snuggle. For 2 minutes. Then he's back to looking around, hitting anything he can get his hands on, sqealing, experimenting with new noises, sticking his tongue out, watching his hands and feet twist about, rolling around (for a short period of time!), sitting up somewhat unassisted (again, for a short period of time)...Oh I love him so much, he's my best little friend! I love tickling him and making him giggle, catching him flashing a smile at me from across the room, watching him grin and giggle at me and himself in the mirror...

 Upon wakening he can either be found with his head wedged into a corner, lifting his legs up and banging them on the mattress, sucking on his fingers cooing to himself and the owls on his mobile,

 Our friends, the Waites, had these adorable bundles of tiny men. The three of them are pretty tight. Parker loves hanging out with little people!

 Last week was finals week in our house. A lot of this happened. Babycakes did awesome, so this week he gets to sleep in, play with trucks and his real-life buds, watch P so I can actually run errands without a baby in tow...life changing I tell you. 

LIFE. CHANGING.

Morning run with the girls. We start our actual training plan Thursday! Bring it baby!

He was fussing because he was all sorts of tangled up in his toy, so naturally I got down there and held my phone up to take a picture. Oh, what's that? Your phone mom? OK hehe! (Insert forced half-smile)

 Got together with my cousins to get our bowl on. I love having family close down here! We went back to one of their houses and hung out and talked for a while, AM and Collins, you two are such gracious hosts! And loved seeing the boys of course. Lance and Kristi, Ella is beautiful and Matt and Annie, you're just cute. Aaaand let's just say I'll never look at somebody surfing a barrel (did I say that right?!?) the same way again...

 Worked my 13-hour shift yesterday, this was definitely calling my name. Nom nom nom...

 NO we did not go to a monster truck show (ugh, much to my dismay...), this was in Target's parking lot! Are you kidding me right now?!

 He's been talking up a storm lately, but every time I whip out my phone he gets all camera shy! He becomes entranced with my phone and smiles while his hands gravitate towards it. He's been saying "dja dja dja dja dja" and "ba ba ba ba" for a while, but he finally rose to the next level and busted out the "ma ma ma ma ma"! Woot woot! He LOVES it when I say "mama", or sing "Itsy Bitsy Spider" for that matter...

This was actually the third time I had given him kiwi. The first time, his whole body began convulsing, one eye squinting, tongue crazily moving it around in his mouth trying to get it out, gagging, totally hilarious. So we did it again. And again. He's also had and loves strawberries, sucked on some pineapple, he's a fan of  those dissolvable baby puff snacks, and of course most baby food. Except this peas, spinach and pears combo that I have. Noooooot a fan.

Favorite new things:

(nothing cute or trendy or inspiring, I apologize. I'm not cute like that)

-Certain Dri antiperspirant (thanks for the recommendation Crystal and Alex!)

I don't sweat anymore. Like at all. It's amazing

-Pampers (or Huggies has them too, but Pampers was cheaper) overnight 12-hour diapers (sizes 3+)

no more peed-through PJs and sheets after he sleeps 12 hours at night!

-my newest cleaning trick, stolen from my awesome bud Geri...grab a dryer sheet, wet it a little and use it to wipe down your shower doors. Then rise/wipe with a regular wet rag and TA-DA! 

It owns those waterspots like nobody's business
