Thoughts

• My governor can beat up your governor
• My little Accord V6 is hecka zippier and faster here in Cali's 1 foot elevation
• Yesterday at work I was introduced as being from Utah. Wait, what? From UTAH? Weird.....
• A surgeon then proceeded to confirm my origins as he pointed out my blue eyes and white teeth--from not drinking coffee or coke of course
• I asked a secretary how long she had worked there, and received a story of her stepdaughter getting pregnant by a Mexican that left her but she went on to the next Mexican and that the secretary is proud of herself because she yelled and screamed at her kids but hasn't raised her voice once at her stepkids. And y'all, that's only half the story. I'll spare you the rest
• Nurses here don't pull their own chest tubes or pacing wires. They were flabbergasted we do
• My hospital is an amazing heart facility, but there is no tube system, no phlebotomy after 3pm, nurses do their own BS checks, paper charting (that means no scanning meds...I was so nervous giving meds without scanning them yesterday ahhh!). Utah Valley, yall have it GOOD
• I took care of the CUTEST black woman yesterday! She called my sugar and talked like a black woman and EVERYTHING! Ahhhh....nothing like real black people to make me feel so at home :)
• I saw a real live nun at the hospital! A NUN PEOPLE!
• People are so so so nice here. Way more friendly than in Utah
• A bunch of girlfriends and I saw Charlie St. Cloud (Surprisingly, right Rachelle and Geri?) and everybody's husband just let them go so they could oogle Zac Effron without them haha
• And we STILL haven't been to the beach due to my lover's infirmities. We're gettin there...
