So-Cal So Far....

We're moving!!! So long cockroaches, deafening-loud wall AC units, muggy air vintage apartment. And GOOD RIDDANCE! We signed a new lease with an amazingly infinitely better apartment complex yesterday. That makes my warm little heart smile inside (insert smiling heart here). But yeah, we gotta move a few blocks away and yeah, Steve's ankle is still mad at him and has left him in time out...still.

We've met some really nice married couples here that are doing the same thing we are, and our new apartment complex has a bajillion more of those couples, so we're excited. We had a few over for dinner Sunday and have met more throughout the week. Yay for the gospel, seriously!

So moving hasn't kept me from decorating over the past 2 weeks though (OK fine, I decorated before we decided to move). SO as per the request of all you highly interested readers, here are a few pics of our humble abode:

my new pillows and the corner of the coffee table I did...it needs more dark color, something to frame all the light colors, right? I do have black-framed wedding pics about the couch...I'm thinking dark curtains (the sliding doors to our balcony are to the right), like black? Your thoughts?

Another favorite. The temple picture on the top right has our names, the date we got married, and "Families Are Forever" written. Tender moments.

This is Steve's man corner. In our bedroom where no one can see it. He will never part with Rocky or this dang painting he did before we got married. It's OK, they make his little heart smile so that makes mine smile too. Rocky talks and sings and punches if you push the button. He also likes my wedding garter, around his neck particularly.

Things I've Noticed:

1. Weird seeing old people tan and dressed in short shorts and tank tops (we're not in Utah anymore)

2. New place=new sense of style=wardrobe chameleon (so much fun to dress the part)
