Ha just kidding. I love it. In fact, I heart it. ESPECIALLY since I have an amazing, perfectly wonderful BFF to share it with :) I'm so blessed, I'm clueless as to what I did to deserve him,
but he kicks fanny.
So similar to most of you Mo-mons out there, we celebrated our love on Saturday ("Tonight...we celebrate our lo-o-o-o-ove....!" What would this day be without corny soft ballads from the 80's?). And since our anniversary is coming up next month, we decided that I would plan V-Day for him and keep it kinda low key (ie: the cheaper, the better, the happier the husband) and he'll concoct something fun for our first anniversary awwww....
Thursday I came home from work to find this waiting for me:
Love it. The next morning I made him breakfast and surprised him with skiing at Sundance. I had been once 2 years ago on a date, and I was mediocre, if that. Scratch that, I was awful. Yup. Abominable. Did I relay this information to my sweet husband? Ooops?
So we rent my gear, get our tickets with a coupon mind you (See how frugal I am? He was proud) and start up the lift. The first run was like watching a little newborn monkey walk for the first time. On ice. wearing ice blocks for shoes. Blindfolded.
The bunny hill was calling my name.
I literally fell on my face and bum 3 times trying to get on that revolving cable to get up the hill. It was bad. I had thrown in the towel. I had disgraced our Anderson family name. Then I grew up and sucked in my lip and ended up destroying the run. Like the good kind of destroying :)
We ended the day with dinner at India Palace and then saw the movie Valentine's Day (we're quite the creative duo).
Today we prepared and gave our Sunday School lesson (always fun to do together) complete with V-day cookies, had brunch with some of our favorite people, I napped while he did manly bike things or whatever it is he does with all his bikes, had dinner, and now we're watching the NBA All-Star game. LOVE watching all these stars play for fun--their crazy mad skills are all on fire and nobody is playing defense so it's kinda fun to watch. We realize all the love we have in our life with each other and our friends and family. Love all of yall! Happy Valentine's Day!!!
Way to suck in the lip and get it done!! haha great story. If I was there, we for sure would have suffered together on the bunny hill :) sounds like a fun weekend!
