So far my favorite vacations are ones that involve no makeup, knot-top hair, a little sweat and probably some dirt, and swimsuits. Hands down. This last-minute spontaneous trip did not disappoint. Janene's husband's grandparents live on the lake down toward Houston, so they invited us to make a weekend out of it before Steve started real life and had to start working like an adult the next week.
The babes had so much fun getting in and out (and in and out) of the water, eating candy, and going so fast on the toys!
The little ones mostly hung out either napping inside or in bouncers on the deck watching all of the action. Things got a little crazy with 5 under the age of 3 at times, but Sean and Becky are so good with them, we had tons of help.
Waving to the guys fishing on Grandpa Earl's boat.
Chris was only an hour away so he stopped in for the day to fish, jetksi, and eat some grub. Fried catfish and hushpuppies. Delish.
That Sunday was Father's Day, so Nannie and Grandpa Earl were kind enough to let us in on their celebration. We grilled some steaks and had ourselves a manly feast in honor of the guys. I can't brag enough about the father Steve is, I'm so incredibly lucky to have him as my babies' daddy. Also thankful to the Crossleys for their hospitality and for having us. It was a treat!

I totally agree, those are my fav types of vacations too! We had a blast with you guys! Can't wait to do it again. :)
