So that just happened...my MacBook was has been crazy lately so I handed it over to the Husband with specific instructions to fix it...(key word "fix", not 'destroy all of our memories'.
He messed around a bit, deleted some stuff, emptied the trash bin, joked about hoping everything was still in iPhoto, he clicked on iPhoto, and nothing happened.
Hm. Weird.
Clicked on it again, and we both read this message:
"iPhoto does not exist on this computer. Please make sure the drive that contains it is connected."
Ummmmm....
Some data recovery program is running right now that took $80 of my money (I did find a discount code online) so we'll see if all traces of our wedding, my baby's birth and entire life are gone forever here soon...
LUCKILY I had started a blogpost last night with all these pics, so here ya go.
The only memories I'll have for the rest of my life:
Teething much?
bad hair day
In true optometric fashion, wearing four pairs of sunglasses to see the eclipse. It was pretty incredible.
Creepy Chris Farley face! He did this face multiple times a day for a couple days.
Hilarious.
Love pool days with babies and baby mamas!
Always a feat getting the babes to cooperate for a picture.
My favorite. So beautiful.
This was end of May, he had just finished his second year, officially a third year student! Crazy!
Matchy matchy! He's gonna hate me for this in 15 years...
Little taste of ice. The first time, his whole body convulsed.
Mah babay's in a convertible carseat now! Wahhhh!!!
Don't worry, it just appears as though he's about to fall onto the cement. No fallage occured.
Just silly babiness.
Dinner with my work girls. Vanessa in the middle is prego with her first, and Erica on the right was watching her friend's little girl for a couple of days. Vanessa was holding hands and skipping and playing with Kadence, the little girl, and accidentally tripped her and gave her a little booboo on her knee. HA! She has some things to learn before becoming a momma...and Erica might have told a little white lie to her friend when they got home as to how the booboo got there :)
The kid is OBSESSED with our laptps. He dives for them if they're anywhere near him. He opens his mouth like that and his whole body tenses up and shakes sometimes when he's doing something he's super excited about! He just likes to open and close his fingers on the keys or bang really hard with his fists.
We watched our friends' twins the other night. I don't know how you mommas do that, maybe it was slightly more difficult because we had Parker as well, but then again I had Steve to help me too.
SO, twins alone? Phew! It was quite the circus. At one point, Parker was yelling at one of his toys (happy yelling, if there is such a thing?), so that scared one of the twins, Maverick, so he started crying, which then made the other, Gavin start crying. Parker started looking around with this concerned look on his face like he was about to cry so we had to console him before he started in on the action too!
AND this was inbetween me trying to make dinner. Are you kidding me? If I ever have twins, we will be ordering in every night. The boys were adorable though, I just love them! Peeking in on them sleeping was the best!
Farrell's Golddigger (butter pecan ice cream with butterscotch, bananas, whipped cream) for lunch,
salad for dinner. They basically cancel each other out, right?
Steve is getting lasik for free. Booyeah. But he has to attend a 2-hour class Tuesday nights for 3 weeks.
So Parker and I hit up the downtown Brea Farmer's Market. I about died, the peaches and nectarines were amazing. I'm talking juice was pouring down my arm amazing.
In other Parker news, we finally have forward motion!!! Woohoo!!
It's a little bit of a hilariously awkward one-handed injured-soldier army crawl,
but it is still motion in the forward direction :)
We'll take what we can get around here.
is steve going to be able to do lasik one day? cuz we should take advantage of this, maybe trade for carwork? :)
ReplyDeleteBoo on the iPhoto! Hope you can recover your photos! Parker's smile sure melts my heart little sweetie pie!
