Hot dang, we live in one of the coolest places you can temporarily afford to live.
I heard it was 29 degrees in Texas this mornings and I don't even have to delve into Utah's weather, am I right?! (Although I did hear the moment we leave, mother nature has a warm change of heart...)
Pool and pretzels to calm the wired boy down
I'm attempting to keep up with Instagram's February Photo A Day...this was the hands one last week.
Speaking of that, are any of your babies obsessed with your phones?! Every time I whip mine out, especially if he's eating, he stops what he's doing and his head instantaneously flips over to where my phone is and just stares at it! If I'm using it, he reaches for it and tries to bang his hands on it or grab it. If I try to move or hide it, he cranes his head and/or contorts his body to find it. Wowza.
This was yesterday's....a self portrait. LUCKILY I had actually made plans with a visiting friend and did more with my hair and outfit than the usual non-brushed out-of-the-shower top knot and stretchy pants/old V-neck combo
P$ wrote Grandma Anderson a little Happy Birthday message!
His pout. HA! What a cheeser!!!
Newport/Balboa. LOOOOOVE, my new favorite beach.
After we got set up and I set him down in the bouncer, he sat there and stared, silently and motionless for about ten minutes. If you know Parker, you know this a rare occasion! The rest of the time, he was talking to the waves and kicking his legs and feet, completely enthralled in the crashing waves and sun.
Steve changed the tires out on his truck for some paddle tires that do well with the sand and can kick up the sand so it can glide through it. Sad that I know the difference? I think yes.
I accidentally cut Steve out, you can see him on the very left of the picture, this was the truck jumping up a 4 ft cliff of sand.
He's such a little boy at heart :)
He was unsure about the water...it was pretty cold
and whenever his hands start twisting frantically back and forth, you know his mind's going a million miles a minute and he's trying to figure out what the heck's going on...
My awesome friend from the single days, Brooke came into town to escape the Chicago winter wasteland (OK, I shouldn't say wasteland, but it's pretty dang miserable in the winter I hear!) and see us and meet my offspring.
This was a couple years ago, top of Angel's Landing. She the one rockin the bandana on the left.
Just one of our memories amongst dance parties with bullet vests, pool parties at The Avenues, climbing, biking, awkward ward chastity talks, single Valentine's Day girl fests, pizookies, Sunday dessert parties....GAH! Miss it :)
So of course we rendezvou'ed at the beach. Bonfire a must.
The next night I left my boys at home and met her and her roomies (who were doing a photo shoot for their ad agency) down in Newport for some shrimp, scallops and crabcakes, then Sprinkles.
Love you Brooke, thank you for hopping on a plane last minute to see me!
My little one and I at the pool. Waterbaby.
Love this guy!
I believe this was a temper tantrum. He was making such a weird face and totally putting on a show, we thought it was hilarious. Is that wrong?
