Rice cereal. He hates it. Not quite sure any of it made it in the hole.
(Thanks Grandpa Moon for the bib...first one he ever wore!)
We have yet to attempt another rice massacre, maybe this week we'll try again. And advice??
Nothing terribly interesting here, mostly for the Grandmas :)
We've found his asleep like this a handful of times this past week, so stinkin cute. I'm thinking he sleeps better during naps if he has access to his hands to suck on (he's a HUGE fingers sucker-like 2-3 at a time at all times. Is this pretty normal?). I started keeping his arms out of his swaddle today and he napped longer than usual! Let's keep this up buddy!
(We stay in his little nightgown PJs days we don't get out. Makes diaper changes a breeze!)
Had his 4 month appointment last week:
15 lbs 13 oz (70th %)
26 1/2 inches (90th %)
head was 85th %
OK you know that one crazy person you know who doesn't really have much family or friends, they're kinda weird and you really dread making contact with them?
Think about that for a second.
How sad is it that that is our first natural response.
Yesterday at work (oh yeah, I went back to work a little over a month ago, 1 day a week...it's good, thanks for asking) I had one of those patients that is a little crazy, lives by himself, talks your ear off and can be pleasantly argumentative (My unit was slow so I had to work on another unit where the patients are all awake and more interactive than a lot of mine usually are haha). My initial thoughts are something along the lines of 'Oh great, I get to deal with crazy man all day...how can I avoid him?'
It was during one of these crazy conversations where my mind began to wander (obviously) and the thought occurred to me that this crazy man is somebody's son, somebody's brother, somebody's friend. Maybe at one point somebody's love and best friend. But most importantly, he is Heavenly Father's son and Heavenly Father loves him just as much as he loves me. He is just as important as I am. And I'm sure Heavenly Father is sad that this man can be kinda crazy and that people probably don't treat him very well or give him the time of day. Shame on me. And in that instant, my feelings toward him changed just like that. I hope when I'm old and crazy some young buck will think twice before they dismiss me as that weirdo cat lady who lives all alone and talks to herself.

HAHA, LOL! Thanks for the fun. You can always try putting it (thinned out a bit more) in a bottle with a thicker hole cut in the nipple. You used to gobble that bottle down first thing in the morning. Or stick with the spoon...he'll catch on soon enough. HA, lOVE!
ReplyDeleteThe twins aren't fond of plain rice cereal--but if we mix it with applesauce or other fruits they gobble it down. Well, Joycie gobbles and Lydia licks it down--she hasn't gotten the spoon thing totally down.....
