Fried Okra

LOOOOVE General Conference.
I remember growing up being excited for GC because we didn't have to go to church, but dreading trying to stay awake for 2 hours while these old guys talked about the most boring things ever with stories about themselves as little boys. How sad huh? But in all reality, what kid didn't feel that way?
First of all, loved the Relief Society broadcast. It seems like I've always been working or something, I haven't been able to go in years! Of course President Uchtdorf's talk was my favorite. Saturday morning session was my favorite from GC, it seemed like they talked about so many subjects that aren't generally covered. Genealogy, studying and mastering the scriptures, having children/families, and time management all screamed HELLO at me.
Gotta have the goods to celebrate...

But really, the importance and meaning of charity constantly resurfaced in my mind. Not only have I realized the beauty of the virtue for myself as an individual but also for myself as a mother. It's a WHOLE nother ballgame here and with a little charity and the Lord's help, I can do it.
My baby! Look how awesome he is!

 Just love him.
Pinterest has definitely sucked me into it's black hole of all things praiseworthy and of good report...
like fall nails
Well my lover and I actually went on a date.
Like a real, live leave the kid at home with a babysitter and show them around and give them instructions on how to take care of your human date. WOW we felt like new people! It was amazing. That was the longest I'd been without him. Our awesome friends watched him and they texted us a video of him and a picture...we looked at the video twice and the picture twice and each time we did I got tears in my eyes! Never thought I'd react that way!!!
We went and got us some fried okra and other BBQ goodies then off to see a movie.
We flirted and everything. It was pretty hot, not gonna lie.

Love you muffinbutt ;)
