6 1/2 months
and kicking ALL THE TIME
I'm kinda freaking out inside a little because we don't have a crib or a dresser...all the little baby gear we have is sitting on the shelves of a changing table we got for free from a moving friend that Steve's going to refinish. What if he comes early?! I need it to be set up!!! I have this huge need to clear out all of our junk to make room for this little guy...I THINK I may be nesting...or something.....
During the last few days I've seen some pics of friends' little newborn boys (the girls just don't do it for me as much right now, is that wrong?) and it makes me NEED mine! I want one too!!!
I can't fathom the love these new moms keep talking about, but I'm so so so excited to feel it and see him and take care of him and I almost get tears in my eyes thinking about it so I'm going to save my sanity and stop. Right now.
OK one more thing.
Steve and I were at Target tonight and he saw these little people movies on sale....
him: "Huh, Hook for $5...sweet deal..."
me: "Um you'll never watch it."
him: "I will with my BOY!"
I smiled :)
In the rest of our world, Steve's super frustrated with his school and all the red tape/politics/old professors that have been there for decades who run the show. It's hard for Steve to sit back and accept something that's obviously flawed and needs improvement.
But he's doing well and pushing through the lame hoops so he can graduate and move on.
He blows off steam at this electric go-kart place around here. He's obsessed.

And I crave some Bachelor back in my life, it's been way too long.
take some deep breaths. Even if you had the baby today, there isn't anything you need that you couldn't have waiting at your house by the time you got home from the hospital with just a few phone calls. That said, it is WAY too early, so don't even think about it.
ReplyDeleteI'm having a girl and I'm the same way.. baby girls just don't do it for me either. Boys are just so much more fun. Hopefully my mind will change right around June 7th. And nesting.. I LOVE it! I get so much done! The constant panic isn't very fun, but it does make everything seem super urgent, so I get a lot of projects done, lol. I wish it would last forever.
