Babymoon and Cinco Months

Babymoon:  a romantic getaway or quiet time spent together by expectant parents
Parenthood: an organism or organization that has produced one or more organisms or organizations similar to itself

After knowledge of the latter definition we decided we needed the primary definition.
Like right now.
We wanted to do Hawaii but figured it would be more worth it and more of a dire  and desperate necessity AFTER this kid comes (Mom, want the kid for a week in about a year?). So, Laguna Beach and a whole bunch of groupons/restaurant.com deals.

La Casa Del Camino hotel

Cress Beach in Laguna
(same beach we went to for my birthday!)

Oh. And this is our view from our room.
Don't worry, we could probably reenact the sound of waves crashing on the beach first thing in the morning for you if you really wanted...

Our anniversary is next month so we thought they'd want to be in on the celebration.
Free room upgrade heeeeeeeeeey!!!!!
That's booze in there. This is California, not Utah.

I about died. How much do you love this room?! The pillow was cashmere charcoal, the side panels were mirrors with that coloring you see that's actually a lot bolder in the photo, but in reality it wasn't as bling-blingy as it looks. The chandeliers were gold and silver rings hanging from each other.

Simply Fondue for dinner with our flaming something atop our white chocolate raspberry fondue.
I need a tan.
Steve about had a heart attack when he saw the bill. He thought the price was for two people, but it was per person. I just distracted him by belting out some Love Songs with Delilah After Dark or something like that on the way home. Chicago, Vanessa Williams and Clapton would be proud.

Lunch atop The Hotel Laguna on the beach. Yup.

Steve had fish and chips and I had a burger with jalapeno-infused cream cheese....mmmmmmm

The rest of the time we made something at Color Me Mine (pictures to come with the final product), went to A REAL MOVIE, not a dollar movie (but did a matinee to save SOME moolah and it was still $20) and here's the kicker---our lunch was MOVIE FOOD!!! I've never done that. It was amazing. Nachos, hot dogs and popcorn. We also got massages and did some shopping and just spent TIME together. We both started new callings in the ward today so hopefully those will still allow for what little time we had together before!!!
It was sooo nice to have my husband back care-free with no time constraints for two days. I love him so much and he's my best little friend that always makes me laugh and says the goofiest, sweetest things and I don't know what the heck I would do without him. Or what I would do with the soda bottle lids and applesauce lids he screws on WAY TOO TIGHT that I can't open, the 24-packs of bottle water I never want to carry from the trunk to the fridge, the trash sitting by the door......

And last in our little world, I'm 20 weeks today! THE BIG HALFWAY MARK!
Only 20 more to go. I could go for like 18 more. Or 17.....
(I don't know what the deal is with my arm in this picture, it's not that big...I think I was moving)

Definitely using the Bella Band with my jeans, definitely sleeping on my side with pillows, definitely not as easy to bend over to put on shoes, and definitely feel REALLY FULL after eating. Oh and I have like 3 more feet to go. Awesome.
Went to dinner with my cousin Ann Marie and her hubby Collins last night (parents to 4 boys), they definitely got us a little more stoked about this little guy. He's going to come with a personality. I remember writing a paper at BYU for MFHD something or other about the innate qualities of children (remember that one Eli?!) This kid could come out a little terror, he could come out the chillest human ever, he could come out high strung (I hope not, I don't do well with high strung people), but however he comes out, HE'S COMING OUT and he'll be with us forever and ever and ever.
Here's to forever kid.
