Testosterone

Testosterone. It's what makes the world go 'round. And apparently what makes boys wanna go hop on some metal combined with horsepower and play in the sand. We girls obliged our men this weekend. I must say, it was a blast. Last year, my family went with our husbands and in-laws to take our family dirtbikes out back home in Texas--my first time since they bought them. I was excited. So of course I faceplanted once, went too fast over this bumpy part and got too much air and landed with the bike on top of me, then biffed it one other time. Needless to say, the idea of power, clutches, gears, and metal terrifies me. So congrats to me, my sister-in-law Lori and my mother-in-law for beefing up the testosterone for the day!

So we're training for that mountain bike race we signed up for, remember? Too bad mother nature doesn't care that we need dry warmth to bike comfortably outside. She's so mean sometimes. We're getting nervous, but we were able to squeeze in 3 rides last week. If there's no blog post about the race in July, you'll know how we did.....this is up AF Canyon. Our the trail we planned on doing was snowed out, so we just biked up the Alpine Loop. That place is BE-UTIFUL!!! Then got some Pollo Loco on the way home. YUM. With a coupon of course :)

OK and now for the sad part, my sister Janene and her husband Aaron moved this morning for the motherland (Texas, not Zion). We went over and helped them clean a bit, ate some grub, and cried. A lot. We're so lame, but she's so cool. And her husband Aaron is so cool. And it's so cool how Steve and I are such good friends with them and my brother and his wife.
