Happy New Used KitchenAid Day!!!

Happy Belated Mother's Day! This is my mom. Isn't she cute? I am definitely my mother's daughter. We have the same eyes (except the color), the same nose, the same hands, the same skin, she's got like 3 inches on me though :(. I've noticed that as I get old, my personality is evolving into hers. The way I interact with friends, people at church, co-workers, etc is very reminiscent of her. HA! Who would have thought? I'm incredibly lucky. Love you Mom!
I potted some real-live flowers to spruce up our balcony!!! I hope they don't die. That would be tragic...
And see how darling the flowers are next to:

Happy Birthday to my favorite boyfriend ever!!! (The flowers don't usually sit there, I just posed it that way for aesthetic purposes). Steve turns the big 2-5 in 2 weeks, so we celebrated early. Next Friday we're partying grill style at our place. Please come eat good food with us. YES YOU!!!

So long story short, after proving my need to Steve for a KitchenAid and showing I deserved it by researching them and spending enough time scouting out a steal-of-a-deal on Ksl.com like a good little wife, I FINALLY GOT ME A KITCHENAID!!! As Steve left to go somewhere after we came home with our new addition, he wished me a "Happy New Used KitchenAid Day". Ha. Love that kid. This picture wasn't posed. I had just taken it off the counter and it just weighs more than a really skinny anorexic-looking model...
So whilst I was flower-shopping and trying to understand how the whole fertilizer/pots/mixing flowers thing works, I saw a patient and his wife I took care of forever ago out doing the same. During that stay, he coded at one point and I remember helping during the code while he lay there unconscious and basically lifeless. Then today, months later, he's out flower shopping with his cute little wife hand-in-hand. So cool. I got kinda emotional. Steve would have made fun of me had he been there...
OK I'm going to go paint my toenails. I scraped off most of my polish last week, and on Sunday I noticed through my peep-toe shoes that the toes next to my big toes look really ugly when they're not painted. OK that's all. Oh, and those Carl Jr. commercials are really disgusting. I feel like I need to go repent after every one. But first, me and my hot pink nail polish have a date...

  1. Haha! Luckily, I got a kitchen aid for our wedding because Brando would never let me get one otherwise. He still tells me it's an unnecessary item on our kitchen counter. He is kind of right because I NEVER use it, but every woman in the kitchen has to have one:)!

#3 Your friend is right.. no woman's kitchen is complete without a KitchenAid, regardless of how often it's used. It's a requirement.
