Algebra lesson for the day:
#1. Steve's old Mitsubishi = Steve's new mountain bike + Steve's new MOTORCYCLE!
#2. Steph's old Maxima =
Steph's new ACCORD!!!! WOOHOO!!!
(Steve thinks it's his too, but according to these equations, it equals out to mine. Did you see him contribute to the equation anywhere? Nope, didn't think so. I just play along to make him happy :)
So Steve traded in his old Galant and got his new bike and a motorcycle instead. Motorcycle you say!?! Yes, I have taken care of grown men in the ICU with breathing tubes down their throats from motorcycle accidents, but believe you me, Steve got a 'talkin to before anything was bought!!! I explained to him in detail what would happen if I ever received a phone call from the Po-Po indicating ANY damage had been done to any part of his body.
I'm not gonna lie, it is pretty hot.
Less than a week ago we began the grueling and tedious hunt for THE ONE to replace my Maxima we were planning on selling. We had visualized us hunting for about a month or so, then getting serious about buying one and doing so. Well, today we signed our first child away to the bank and drove this baby home! We heart it.
I'll miss my little Maxima. It still has more horsepower, torque and MMMPH than our 5-year newer Accord (don't get me wrong, this thing goes), it's sweet Dallas Mavs plates that are worth every penny I shelled out each year, the memories, ahhh the memories (road trips to Cali, driving around with my girlfriends and the iPod blasting, hauling Steve, me, and our bikes up the canyon to get our bike on, etc. etc), I'll miss it.
I officially feel like I haven't talked to you in forever! yay for new cars woooo!!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the new car. I've been meaning to tell you. Oh and I totally know what you mean about the license plate :)
ReplyDeleteahhhhh new car???!!!! It looks beautiful! Oh the memories of the Maxima, indeed it will be missed.
ReplyDeleteSweet. You guys have had quite the trade ins recently. I definitely agree with you about apprehension of the new hog, but at least you'll be living where it doesn't snow, right? I don't know Cali terriblly well but I thought I remembered you saying you were going to a place that's sunny, sunny, sunny, unlike Pittsburgh :( That's why Adam slipped on his.
