Feliz Navidad

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I hope everybody had a Christmas full of friends and family, love, and maybe a gift or two by the fireplace. Ours was filled with the Caribbean sun, bathing suits, the beach, and a santa hat or two. Yay for life south of North America!!!

My parents were kind and generous enough to surprise us all by taking us on a cruise over Christmas to Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, and Cozumel. It was amazing. It was so much fun to be together as a family spending Christmas in a unique way. We all exchanged our gifts beforehand, Christmas Eve gathered together on the ship to sing Christmas carols, read Christmas stories and the Luke and Nephi story (yay for scriptures on everybody's iPhones), share Christmas memories, then Christmas was spent on the beach in Santa hats. Woohoo!

Steve and I both came back tan, a few pounds heavier (one of us more than "a few" due to eating 3 entrees every night, late night pizza, a few ice cream cones per day, and cholesterol-filled breakfasts :), and wishing we were back in Grand Cayman after returning to an apartment that was probably 45 degrees...I kid you not (I turned the heat completely off while we were gone...not my most genius moment). We spent the next two hours with our fireplace, a space heater, our stove and oven blasting to warm up our frozen fingers and bodies. 

What did we get for Christmas you ask?

I couldn't find a picture of the one we bought, but this 47" of awesomeness is pretty similar to the one we got, with less mountains in the background, a thick black frame around it and personalized with our names, the date we got married, and "Families Are Forever". It's sweet. AND it fits nicely above our new..........

TA-DAAAAAHHHH!!!!! 42" plasma sa-weet flatscreen! This one was a gift from Steve's generous parents, and we threw in a little bit to upgrade :) It was a good year.
