For those of you who know my darling husband, you know exactly what that equation means...the SA stands for Steve (really, or Stephanie) Anderson and the OAT stands for the Optometry Admissions Test. SO.....us plus the OAT equals frenemies. Friends? Yes, because eventually Steve will rock the test when he takes it next month and it will get him into Optometry school (should I say Dr. Anderson?), but at the same time, this is what I see when I look at him stressed over his Kaplan course for the OAT, studying for the OAT, studying for his summer classes, TA'ing anatomy, and being an amazing husband:
Poor guy! But eventually this will pay off and all of his hard work will get us (hopefully!) to our top choice school in dun dun dun duuuuuunnnnnn...........
(I'm singing the theme song from The OC)
so we can do THIS:
OK, this was taken in Cabo, but I really took the other one in California during one of my roadtrips out there. Sigh....the feelings that well up inside of my soul when I think of that place, more specifically the beach! I'll probably be one of those 78-year-old women who still go to the beach and lay out all day with their hot pink toenails and huge rhinestone sunglasses and bring their yappy little 2-lb. dog. And just for the record, we've decided that we're going to name our dog Meatloaf, whenever that glorious day comes that we're grown-up enough to have one!
Aside from dreaming about the day when the OAT will be a thing of the past, we'll be in sunny California with Steve attending Optometry school and me working at UCLA Medical Center and laying out on the beach, possibly with a little one in tote (this is years away people), we went to my cousin Emily and her new husband Philip's reception and caught up with relatives, namely my Grandma and Grandpa,
love my life.
